Out-of-gauge transport

Out-of-gauge cargo is anything that exceeds the standard length, width, height or weight for normal transport. Moving it takes more than a bigger truck: it takes planning.

We match each load to the right trailer, whether that's a low-bed, extendable or multi-axle configuration, and plan the route around bridges, overhead lines, gradients and turning space. Moves can be by road, sea, rail or a combination of modes.

  • Oversized and overweight loads
  • Low-bed and multi-axle trailers
  • Road, sea and rail
  • Route planning around restrictions

Heavy lift logistics

Heavy lifts are where most of the risk in a project move sits. We coordinate the cranes, rigging and lifting teams so cargo comes off the vessel, trailer or plinth safely.

Lift plans are prepared before the day, with the right lifting capacity and rigging specified for the weight and centre of gravity of each piece.

  • Lift planning
  • Crane and rigging coordination
  • Port and site lifts
  • Loading and offloading

Containerised & breakbulk cargo

Not everything fits in a standard container. We handle flat-rack, open-top and breakbulk shipments that need special handling at the port and on the road.

With support for international imports and exports through Africa's major ports, we coordinate the port side and the inland leg as one move.

  • Flat-rack and open-top containers
  • Breakbulk and project cargo
  • Port handling and clearing support
  • Import and export moves

Escort & permit coordination

Abnormal loads can't move without the right paperwork and the right escort. We take care of both.

We apply for abnormal load permits, arrange escort vehicles and coordinate with the relevant authorities along the route, so your cargo moves legally and without avoidable delays.

  • Abnormal load permits
  • Route surveys
  • Escort vehicles
  • Authority liaison

Cross-border transport

We move cargo throughout South Africa and across the SADC region. Every cross-border move has its own rules, and we treat each corridor that way.

Full route and permit coordination is assessed per country and per corridor before anything moves, in line with cross-border abnormal load regulations.

  • South Africa and SADC corridors
  • Country-by-country permits
  • Border documentation support
  • Port-to-site moves
